The scene of Oshin as a young girl, traveling down the Mogami River on a raft, is ever so famous. Win cruises down the Mogami River on a boat equipped with kotatsu heaters. The typically Japanese heating appliance keeps travelers warm even during the coldest days of winter. The ride is made all the more enjoyable by the lively observations of the boatman and the tasty boxed “Oshin Bento” meal.
