Japanese Dazzle at Ballet Olympiad

Japanese dancers made a strong showing this year at the world’s oldest international ballet competition in Varna, Bulgaria. Miyu Takamori was awarded in the women’s senior division along with16-year-old junior, Elena Iseki, and 18-year-olds Haruto Goto and Itsuki Omori in the men’s junior. The Varna International Ballet Competition is considered the Olympics of ballet. Japanese ballerina Yoko Morishita won a top prize at the event in 1974.
